Rolling Stones member Charlie Watts has announced plans for a live big band album, according to Rolling Stone. The drummer will release the new album, which will include standards, originals, and Rolling Stones covers, with the Danish Radio Big Band. They recorded the album together in 2010 at the Concert Hall of Denmark in Copenhagen. The seven-track album will include the Stones’ “Satisfaction,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Paint It Black” and a rendition of Watts’ song with the Jim Keltner Project, “Elvin Suite.” Charlie Watts Meets the Danish Radio Big Band will drop on April 21 and is available for pre-order now.
