George Harrison’s widow, Olivia says she has a very special gift for Ringo Starr. The gift is handwritten lyrics from Harrison to an unreleased song titled, “Hey Ringo.” The lyrics were recently discovered in a piano bench. Neither Olivia nor Starr had been aware of their existence. A replica of the lyric sheet was included in a recently expanded version or the memoir I Me Mine, which was first published in 1980. Some of the lyrics read, “Hey Ringo.without you my guitar plays far too slow” and “Hey Ringo, there’s one thing that I’ve not said/ I’ll play my guitar with you till I drop dead.” Olivia says she plans to have the lyric sheet framed and then she will present it to Starr as a gift.
