A new live Black Sabbath album could be on the way according to guitarist Tony Iommi, who tells NBC News that he is currently mixing the sound from the band’s final shows in Birmingham, England. “We’ll actually be doing a documentary,” he said. “My job at the moment is to have a listen to what we’ve done.” While Sabbath made their ‘The End’ tour their last because Iommi can no longer travel for extended amounts of time, he says that he certainly isn’t hanging up his guitar for good. “I’m certainly not retiring from playing and doing stuff,” he said. “But I think since my illness I’ve had to look at things differently, think sensibly. I feel fine, but I still go for checkups and tests and at the moment I’m okay.” Iommi adds that he is also open to recording new Black Sabbath material in the future or possibly reuniting the band for a one-off performance.
