Ray Davies has revealed that he plans to release more new music soon. He broke the news during a recent interview with BBC and says that he’s driven to bring a sequel of his current release Americana to his fans. The former Kinks rocker revealed that he still has about twenty unfinished songs left over from the recording sessions that produced Americana. Davies plans to continue working on them and will then release another new album upon their completion. “It’s a big work, but I hope it’ll be put together for a deluxe record later on,” he stated. Davies recorded the new material with backing band the Jayhawks. Davies was officially knighted by Prince Charles of the British Royal Family back in March. Davies made a sarcastic statement to Britain’s Daily Mail noting that it was a truly thrilling event that was over quickly and then he went on about his business. “It lasted three minutes and it went very well,” he joked. “And I said goodbye and went home.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
