Jerry Garcia’s legendary Wolf guitar is set to hit the auction block. The famed instrument, known for it’s pearl inlay of a wolf, is set to be auctioned by the Guernsey’s auction house on May 31 at Brooklyn Bowl, in Brooklyn, NY. The instrument is being sold by renowned Grateful Dead fan Daniel Pritzker. He is a philanthropist, musician and film director, who bought the guitar in 2002 at Guernsey’s for $790,000. It is estimated that the guitar could fetch over $1 million this time around. The guitar was used prominently in the 1977 Grateful Dead Movie, which was directed by Garcia. He also played Wolf everywhere from San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom to New York’s Palladium and Egypt’s Great Pyramids. Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
