The Los Angeles home is rumored to have been a hang-out for the guitar legend, and Pitt cites an old hippie friend of Hendrix’s as his source for the information. He made the revelation in his recent cover story for GQ and says that Hendrix may have written the Are You Experienced? track “Could This Be Love?” out near his pool: “I don’t know if it’s true,” he admitted, “but a hippie came by and said he used to drop acid with Jim back there, so I run with the story.” Pitt also opened up about his experiences learning about rock music as a kid in a Christian house: “I remember going to a few concerts, even though we were told rock shows are the Devil, basically. Our parents let us go, they weren’t neo about it.
