Alice Cooper says that the late Chris Cornell “had the best voice in rock and roll.” In a statement released on Thursday, Cooper said: “Chris Cornell, in our circle, was known as ‘The Voice’ because he had the best voice in rock and roll. I was lucky enough to write and record two songs with him. His death comes as a total shock to all of us. “Black Hole Sun” will live on as a classic, and his is a true legacy of rock and roll.” Cornell co-wrote and performed on Cooper’s songs “Stolen Prayer” and “Unholy War,” both of which appeared on his 1994 album The Last Temptation. Cornell died on May 17 shortly after a performance in Detroit. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled Cornell’s death as “suicide by hanging.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
