Ronnie Wood Recovering After Surgery To Remove Lung Lesion

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is recovering following surgery to remove a lung lesion according to a band representative. According to a post on the band’s Facebook page, the surgery was a success and no additional treatment will be necessary for Wood. “I’m so grateful for modern screening which picked this up so early, and would like to thank all the doctors who treated me,” Wood said in a statement. The post also says that the surgery and Wood’s recovery will not affect the Rolling Stones’ upcoming European tour, which is scheduled to start on September 9 in Hamburg.
