Rhino has announced new vinyl reissues of the Grateful Dead’s Smiling On A Cloudy Day and the Monkees’ Summer of Love as part of their 50th anniversary campaign. Smiling On A Cloudy Day features ten tracks from the Dead’s earlier days, including classic tracks like “St. Stephen,” “Dark Star,” “China Cat Sunflower,” “That’s It for the Other One” and “Morning Dew.” Smiling on a Cloudy Day will be available on July 11. Also set for release during Rhino’s Summer of Love reissue campaign include offerings from Dusty Springfield, Van Morrison, The Association, Judy Collins, Aretha Franklin, Arlo Guthrie, Tim Buckley and more, plus a 1967 compilation titled Gettin’ Together: Groovy Sounds of the Summer of Love.
