On Saturday June 3, Gregg Allman was laid to rest in Macon, Georgia. He was buried next to his brother Duane Allman and bandmate Berry Oakley. Snow’s Memorial Chapel in Macon held a private service for family and special guests. Among those in attendance were former President Jimmy Carter, ex-wife Cher, and some former bandmates including Jaimoe, Dickey Betts, and Derek Trucks. The Allman family requested that those attending the funeral wear jeans and t-shirts rather than traditional suits. Many wore Allman Brothers concert shirts.
