The Who’s Roger Daltrey visited the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio earlier this week, to visit with teen cancer patients. Daltrey had a private tour of the cancer institute. He also visited with teen cancer survivors and their families at the hospital’s Angie’s Rooftop Garden. Daltrey also donated a guitar signed by him and Pete Townshend that will be permanently displayed in the Fowler Institute’s in-patient unit. “Teenagers for so long have been overlooked,” Daltrey said during the special visit. “Not nearly enough has been done for them.” Daltrey, a longtime patron of Britain’s Teenage Cancer Trust and is co-founder of Teen Cancer America, was in town playing a fundraiser, “A ROCKIN’ SUMMER SOIREE,” for Rainbow’s Angie Fowler Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Institute.
