A record set by David Bowie has been beaten this week by Linkin Park. The band had 23 songs on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart in the most recent week, the most tracks ever to appear on the chart from one artist at the same time. This topped a record set by Bowie in 2016. The interest in Linkin Park has spiked since the tragic death of their singer Chester Bennington on July 20. Bowie originally set the record in similarly sad circumstances. Following the singer’s death on January 10, 2016, Billboard charted 21 of his tracks in Hot Rock Songs chart, according to Rolling Stone. For Linkin Park, the highest charting single of the week was “Numb,” their 2003 standard, which made it to the second slot on the chart, just behind Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” which kept the number-one spot. Linkin Park had a total of seven songs in the top ten on the chart for the week. Meanwhile, “Numb” also reached number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100, with “In the End” and “Heavy” also scoring in the top 50. Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
