The Scorpions have cancelled the remaining dates on their previously scheduled tour. The band had a full slate of North American tour dates scheduled for 2018 but have shelved them after a severe vocal diagnosis for frontman Klaus Meine. “The Scorpions regretfully announce that due to severe laryngitis, the remainder of the U.S. 2017 tour will be cancelled,” the band said via an official statement. “Klaus Meine has been advised by top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage.” Meine added his own comment about the news to fans via Facebook: “Dear fans, it breaks my heart to let you down for the remaining shows in the U.S. There will be better days.” The band added: “We truly hate to disappoint our fans, and hope to come back to America soon,” they said, “but this time we have no choice but to cancel.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
