Former Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward has confirmed a string of tour dates with his new band Day of Errors. Ward famously beefed with his former bandmates on the terms he was offered to reunite with the band for their farewell tour. At the time, Ward publicly claimed that the terms he was offered to rejoin the band were disrespectful and says that he has permanently cut ties with the former members as a result: “Tony Iommi’s comments, and some of Ozzy’s, remain in a place of disparaging remarks, which bring fault to my character as a person and a musician,” he said in August. “I regret the loss of Ozzy’s friendship. I regret the loss of Tony’s friendship. . . . I’m honored to have been a part of Black Sabbath, and to have played with Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Geezer Butler.” Of his new band Ward says: “We play loud, hard, with overtures of gut-kicking heavy, heavy parts.” The band said in a statement that it’s “currently writing and recording a few new tracks that they hope to share live for the first time on the tour.” Day of Errors West Coast Tour 2017: Dec. 7: Wow Hall – Eugene, OR Dec. 8: High Dive – Seattle, WA Dec. 9: Dante’s – Portland, OR Dec. 12: Great American Music Hall – San Francisco, CA Dec. 13: Catalyst – Santa Cruz, CA Dec. 14: The Garage – Ventura, CA Dec. 15: The Casbah – San Diego, CA Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
