The Who are rumored to take over for Elton John when he vacates his ongoing Las Vegas residency. Sir Elton has been in residency at the Coliseum at Caesar’s Palace but now UK news sources are reporting that the rock legends may be ready to step in as Elton exits stage left. “Elton is leaving, so the promoters and resort wanted to bring in an act of equal stature,” the Mirror’s source is quoted as saying. “Their shows this summer were a critical success and a sellout, with Roger’s voice sounding better than ever. They enjoyed the gigs and unique opportunity of a residency and were open to repeating it for a longer run. The talks have been going well and there is a genuine hope that a deal will be done.” The report adds that all the band has left to negotiate is the number of shows and length of residency. John’s Colosseum residency has been one of the longest in Vegas history, marking 13 years and 450 shows when it ends next May. Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
