Eddie Van Halen’s former Beverly Hills home is now on the market for $2.9 million. Van Halen had previously sold the property in 2008 for $1.5 million. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom Cape Cod-style home is located inside a gated community and sits on half an acre of land. It features vaulted ceilings, dark hardwood floors and both canyon and city-light views from its deck. Marble tops the counters in the kitchen, and custom cabinetry lines the walls of the airy living room, which has French doors opening to the deck. A dining area and office complete the living space. It is unknown if Val Halen himself ever actually lived in the home. Since the early ’80s, he’s lived in the 10,000-square-foot Coldwater Canyon home where he built the detached 5150 studio in which his band recorded every one of their albums since 1984.
