The new Queen biopic has filled the void left when director Bryan Singer was dismissed from the project. Dexter Fletcher will now helm the project and it will follow credits for him including Eddie the Eagle, Sunshine on Leith, and Wild Bill. Singer has blasted the film’s studio Fox, claiming that he was dismissed after taking time away from the project to return to the U.S. and tend to an ailing parent. He denied claims that it was due to “creative differences” with star Rami Malek but says rather: “[I returned] to the U.S. to deal with pressing health matters concerning one of my parents,” he explained noting: “This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health.
