Count Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose among the music industry’s number of President Donald Trump detractors. Rose has spoken out in response to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders comments on Trump’s mental fitness. “It’s disgraceful and laughable,” Sanders told reporters about criticism aimed at Trump. “If he was unfit, he probably wouldn’t be sitting there, wouldn’t have defeated the most qualified group of candidates the Republican Party has ever seen.” Those comments prompted Rose to respond: “Along with several other condescending adjectives, the current [White House] has no room to call virtually anyone disgraceful. The [White House] is the current U.S. gold standard of what can be considered disgraceful.” Rose has spoken out against Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Vice President Mike Pence, along with Trump, in the past.
