The upcoming Charlie Daniels annual charity concert has added performances by Chris Young, Alabama, Lee Brice, Sara Evans and Travis Tritt. The annual Charlie Daniels Volunteer Jam is set to take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on March 7 and will also feature Alison Krauss, Blackberry Smoke, Bobby Bare, Chris Janson, Chuck Leavell, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore, the Oak Ridge Boys, Ricky Skaggs, Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. This marks the twentieth year of the annual event, which raises money and awareness for the Journey Home Project, a group that helps returning military veterans gain resources on the home front: “This year we get back to basics, back to the free form rocking traditions the Volunteer Jam was known for,” Daniels says. “I’m planning a jam at the last part of the show that will blow the roof off Bridgestone.
