David Byrne has signed on for a headlining performance at this year’s annual Sasquatch Music Festival. The fest will take place at The Gorge in Washington and will be held this year between May 25 and 27. Byrne joins fellow headliners Modest Mouse and Bon Iver. The date will come in support of Byrne’s forthcoming new release American Utopia, which is set for release on March 9. Speaking of his supporting tour, the legend said it will be his most ambitious since touring behind Stop Making Sense: “The show concept is simple, much like the concept for Stop Making Sense. There, it was ‘bit by bit show what goes into making a show, and then activate it.’ Here, it is ‘allow everyone to be mobile on an empty stage’ and imagine what that allows.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
