Ringo Starr has officially joined his Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney as the only other member of the Fab Four to have been knighted as a solo artist. The honor comes 53 years after he was jointly awarded a knighthood with the Beatles and says it’s certainly a thrill. “It means a lot actually,” the musician told the BBC. “It means recognition for the things we’ve done. I was really pleased to accept this. I was a bit shaky today on my own,” he said. When asked by the news agency if he wanted to be known as Sir Ringo he added: “I don’t know yet. It’s new and I don’t know how you use it properly. But I expect you to use it,” he joked later adding of the medal: “I’ll be wearing it at breakfast.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
