A 2017 BBC documentary about veteran Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde is set for a May 25 release on DVD and in digital formats via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Alone With Chrissie Hynde was originally broadcast as part of the BBC TV Arena series, and released in theaters last year. The home-video version will include a 1981 concert of the original Pretenders lineup performing on German TV series Rockpalast. It features Hynde, drummer Martin Chambers, bassist Pete Farndon and guitarist James Honeyman-Scott. The Ohio native is shown in a wide range of settings, including recording with the Pretenders in Nashville, drifting around a cemetery in her hometown of Akron, out shopping for clothes, and browsing influential records at her London home.
