The handwriting of several late rock legends has been transformed into downloadable typefaces called Songwriters Fonts. The typefaces were developed from “original handwritten letters and notes” by the great singers of the past including Kurt Cobain, David Bowie, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, and Serge Gainsbourg. The Songwriters fonts were created by French designers Julien Sens and Nicolas Damiens by meticulously analyzing the manuscripts of the greatest songwriters. Sens and Damiens say they have been created to give musicians inspiration. “Writing lyrics with the handwriting of influential songwriters helps imagination to develop,” they stated. All the options of the Songwriters Fonts project can be downloaded for free from the project website, where you encounter a disclaimer that states, “This font is for a personal use only.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
