On the opening date of their European tour in Berlin, Germany on Sunday, Guns N’ Roses performed a cover of the Velvet Revolver track “Slither” for the first time. A teaser clip of the band rehearsing the track emerged online ahead of the show, which tipped off fans that a performance of the track could be coming. The track was featured on Velvet Revolver’s debut album Contraband, which featured GNR members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, alongside Scott Weiland and Dave Kushner. Guns N’ Roses are set to headline the Download Festival on June 9. The band will also unveil the reissue of their classic debut album, Appetite For Destruction later this month.
