Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi have expressed interest in a reunion of the group for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in their hometown of Birmingham, England. “I think that it would be a great thing to do to help represent Birmingham,” the city where the group formed in 1968, Iommi told Birmingham Mail. “I’m up for it. Let’s see what happens,” the guitarist added. Osborne also expressed interest in reuniting for the games during an interview with ITV News: “That would be fantastic” he stated when asked if the band might reunite to play at the opening ceremony. “I’d like to do that. We’re all Brummies, after all.” The heavy metal band’s 49-year career came to an end with “The End” tour in Birmingham in February last year. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
