Elvis Costello announced that he has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on his European tour as a result of having undergone a surgery to remove a “very aggressive cancerous malignancy” from his body. Initially, he thought that he was free to go back onstage immediately after the surgery and has performed at several venues since, but soon realized that he could not go on like that. “The spirit has been more than willing but I have to now accept that it is going to take longer than I would have wished for me to recover my full strength. Therefore, I must reluctantly cancel all the remaining engagements of this tour,” he said in a statement published on his website. The cancelled dates include those on July 6 (Manchester), July 8 (Croatia), July 9 and 11 (Austria), July 14 (Norway) and July 16 (Sweden), not to mention two UK shows on June 27 and 28 that were previously cancelled. The statement also revealed that the tickets purchased for these shows may be refunded by fans at the point of purchase. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
