David Bowie fans can look forward to a virtual reality version of a series of exhibitions about his music, art, and creative journey, titled “David Bowie Is.” On Monday, the official David Bowie site announced that the VR version of the exhibit will be available on smartphones later this year. The news was also published on David Bowie’s Official Twitter page Monday. “The David Bowie is tour has ended, but the show must go on! This fall, Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., in collaboration with the DB Archive, Planeta, and V&A, will release a digital recreation of the exhibition on smartphones as a virtual experience.” The touring exhibit, which presented more than 300 items from the late singer’s personal archives, finally closed this year after being hosted in 12 cities across the world for six years.
