Jerry Garcia Music Arts LLC, a new music and arts entertainment services company, has been launched to commemorate Jerry Garcia’s August 1st birthday. Garcia’s ex-wife Manasha Garcia and daughter Keelin Garcia are behind the new venture. The label plans celebrated the day with the release of a remastered live recording of “Ripple” from his 1982 solo acoustic performance at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey. The recording is newly remastered by audio engineer Joe Gastwirt and limited to 2,500 free downloads. The “Ripple ” single is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Napster, MediaNet, VerveLife, Tidal, Gracenote, Shazam, and 7Digital. Garcia would have turned 76 years old on August 1. He was staying in a California drug rehabilitation facility when he died of a heart attack in August 1995 at the age of 53.
