The childhood home of guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan in South Dallas was reportedly sold for less than the asking price of $159,900. Reports quoting Realtor Ian Flannigan say the 63-year-old, 1,100-square-foot home where the legendary guitarist grew up went on sale for a $140,000-$160,000 price range. A Hispanic couple bought the two-bedroom, one-bathroom house on August 21. Vaughan moved to Austin, Texas, in 1972 leaving the Glenfield property to pursue his music career skipping high school graduation. The singer, songwriter, composer and six-time Grammy winner, died at 35 in a helicopter crash in Wisconsin in 1990. He is buried five miles away from the home. In 2003, the blues legend was named No. 7 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” posthumously. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
