Doors guitarist Robby Krieger says he “hates to hear” that the band’s 1968 album Waiting For The Sun has turned 50. “I’d rather it be 30,” he told Billboard in an interview marking the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Waiting For The Sun was the Doors’ third album, and the band’s only album that topped the Billboard 200 chart. The band is dropping a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of Waiting For The Sun on September 14, featuring 14 unreleased tracks. Nine of them are rough mixes and five live tracks played in a concert in Danish capital Copenhagen in 1968. On plans for a 50th anniversary reissue of 1969’s The Soft Parade, Krieger said talks are yet to begin. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
