KISS will celebrate the 40th anniversary of selling a million copies of solo albums from all four members of the band on October 19 when they will debut in a limited-edition vinyl box set. On the same day on September 18, 1978, the four founding members of the band – singer/guitarist Paul Stanley, bassist/singer Gene Simmons, drummer Peter Criss and guitarist Ace Frehley – released their respective solo albums. Only 2,500 vinyl box sets of The Solo Albums – 40th Anniversary Collection are available. Fans can buy them exclusively through Kiss artist webstore and The Sound Of Vinyl. All four of these solo albums are accompanied by 12/12-inch posters of each album cover. Stanley co-produced his album with Jeff Glixman; Simmons’ album was co-produced with Sean Delaney; Frehley co-produced his album with Eddie Kramer; and Criss’ album was produced by Vini Poncia.
