As part of a new partnership with Epiphone, Guns N’ Roses member, Slash recently came out with a limited-edition line of Firebird guitars. Available at two price ranges, the Firebird features a “mahagony body and a maple-cap and humbucking pickups,” says Slash in the video announcing the same. “…it sounds great and it sounds unique, which is really what I’m looking for.” The Firebird Premium Outfit will also feature a custom case, a leather strap and a certificate of authenticity. Each will be hand-signed by the artist behind the headstock. “From a sonic point of view, they are set up to do a very different kind of thing than what I do with a Les Paul. So I’ve had a lot of trial and error experimentation with lots of different Firebirds over the years,” he added. “I finally got a chance to do one with Epiphone; to do one that was more to my specs.
