Ozzy Osbourne has dropped a lawsuit filed against AEG, after the company ended its block-booking policy last week. The lawsuit was filed by Osbourne’s manager Sharon Osbourne in March, seeking an end to the entertainment company’s policy that required artists playing the London’s O2 Arena to also perform at Staples Center in Los Angeles. AEG officials said they enacted the block-booking requirement to counter the alleged policy at Azoff MSG Entertainment that pressured artists to play at The Forum in Los Angeles in return for playing at New York’s Madison Square Garden. AEG dropped the policy last week with its chief Jay Marciano saying he was satisfied that artists were not “being pressured to play the Forum to gain access to the Garden.” Following this, Osbourne’s lawyer Dan Wall filed a stipulation to dismiss the case on Friday, and the case was dismissed with prejudice.
