Yoko Ono released her new album, Warzone, a collection of her reworked tracks, at the end of the previous week. The album features 13 re-imagined original songs from her past work, spanning 1970 – 2009. “The world is so messed up. Things are very difficult for everybody. It’s a warzone that we are living in,” Ono said in a statement. “I like to create things in a new way. Every day things change,” the widow of Beatles legend John Lennon added. Following twenty albums over 50 years, Ono’s Warzone is strikingly different from any record she has made previously. The recordings and arrangements on Warzone have a particular emphasis on Ono’s voice and lyrics. Earlier this month, Ono celebrated her late husband’s 78th birthday by releasing her own version of “Imagine,” Lennon’s biggest solo hit. Ono’s version of the track appears on Warzone. At the age of 85 years, Ono is already plotting her next album. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
