Filmmaker and renowned photographer Jerry Schatzberg has released some rare photos taken for the cover of Bob Dylan’s album Blonde on Blonde when they drove over to the far West Side of Manhattan in 1966. Schatzberg offers a comprehensive record of moments and memories he captured throughout the course of his friendship with Dylan in his new photo book titled Dylan by Schatzberg. The iconic photographs of Bob Dylan include studio portraits, on-stage performances and recording studio outtakes, many of them published for the first time. Speaking about his experience of the half-a-century old shooting, Schatzberg said, “We shot a lot of sharp ones that day. I was delighted he picked a blurry one for the cover. If I had made the final choice I don’t think I would have sent it because I didn’t think the record company was that clever.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
