Rod Stewart has blasted U.S. President Donald Trump for his response to the California forest fires. Instead of giving support and strengthening the victims and firefighters, Trump threatened to withdraw funding for the US Forest Service over the deadly blaze. The California wildfire has already claimed the lives of 25 people. “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!” Trump had tweeted. Responding to Trump’s response, Stewart tweeted, “Mr. President, while people’s homes are burning, while lives are being lost & while firefighters are risking their lives, California needs words of support & encouragement, not threats or finger pointing & accusations. Where is Winston Churchill when you need him?” Stewart is just the latest in a line of celebs to blast the U.S. President. Earlier, Katy Perry, Axl Rose and John Legend slammed the President for his “heartless” response. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
