Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson has started working on a new project along with Marco Minnemann. Drummer Minnemann announced the news on Facebook along with artwork of the pair. “Working on a new collaborative release together with Rush’s Alex Lifeson. Watch this space for more details to follow soon,” Minnemann wrote on the post. Lifeson had previously worked with Minnemann on his 2017 album Borrego, which also featured Joe Satriani. Rush have taken a sabbatical since ending their North American R40 tour in 2015. Lifeson had said in January that Rush were “basically done.” Recently, Rush bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee had confirmed that the band is unlikely to play any more shows. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Lee said, “I can’t really tell you much other than that there are zero plans to tour again. We’re very close and talk all the time, but we don’t talk about work. We’re friends, and we talk about life as friends. I can’t really tell you more than that, I’m afraid. I would say there’s no chance of seeing Rush on tour again as Alex, Geddy, Neil. But would you see one of us or two of us or three of us? That’s possible.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
