The Grammy Hall of Fame has announced 25 recordings to be inducted this year, including works by Aerosmith, Tom Petty and Jackson Browne. Annually selected by a “special member committee of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts,” the inductees are deemed to be of “lasting qualitative or historical significance.” The tracks being inducted in 2019 include Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” (1975), The Troggs’ “Wild Thing” (1996), Curtis Mayfield’s “Move On Up” (1970), and Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors” (1971). The list of albums includes Petty’s 1989 solo album Full Moon Fever, Browne’s 1972 self-titled debut and Frank Sinatra’s 1967 Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim.
