On the eve of the 40th anniversary of Frank Zappa’s legendary live album Zappa in New York, a remastered box-set of the album has been announced as a collaborative effort between Zappa Records and Universal Music. Originally released in 1977 and recorded during Zappa’s run at the Palladium in New York, the new album contains over 3 hours of unreleased music, produced by the late star’s son, Ahmet Zappa and Vaultmeister Joe Travers “We are excited to bring you this new Deluxe version of Zappa in New York: an opportunity to re-examine and celebrate the source material of a great album while exploring the events of Frank’s life in late December 1976,” reads the album notes. The album is available in several formats, including a 5 CD box-set, which will also feature replica show tickets, rare photos shot by Gail Zappa and an essay by Travers and Jen Jewel Brown. It will also be available to be streamed digitally and can be pre-ordered now. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
