Rami Malek, who played the role of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, has won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. Bohemian Rhapsody previously took home two major prizes – for best film drama and best drama actor – at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. The film was also nominated for Best Picture, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Film Editing and Best Actor for Malek at this year’s Oscars. The Egyptian-American actor mastered all of Queen’s best-known songs for the role. Accepting the SAG award at a ceremony held in Los Angeles, Malek thanked Queen and Freddie Mercury. “I get some power from him that is about stepping up and living your best life and being exactly who you want to be and accomplishing everything you so desire. I feel that, and he allows us all to feel that. So this is again for him,” he told the gathering at the Shrine Auditorium. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
