Brian May donated some of his personal Queen outfits to Bohemian Rhapsody’s costume designer Julian Day after meeting him on the first day of filming. “Brian came on set – I hadn’t met him – but I had all the fittings done for him. I was thinking, should I show him them or not?” Day said to NME. “So I spoke to my assistant and she encouraged me to do it.” However, Day revealed that the Queen guitarist was unimpressed at first with the look of his recreated clothes, so he offered some outfits from his own wardrobe. Julian said that May invited him to his house to raid his wardrobe “and borrow some of his outfits from the 70s and the 80s.” Rami Malek, who portrayed the late singer Freddie Mercury in the biopic, won best actor in a drama at the 2019 Golden Globes and also the BAFTA award for leading actor. Malek has also been nominated for best actor at next weekend’s Academy Awards. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
