Foreigner have announced plans to release concert film, Foreigner Live At The Rainbow ’78, which will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital video beginning March 15. On April 27, 1978, the band performed a sold-out show at London’s Rainbow Theatre. The band’s 12-song set featured all 10 tracks from Foreigner’s self-titled 1977 debut album, including hits “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice” and “Long, Long Way from Home.” The band had also performed two songs from their then-forthcoming sophomore record, Double Vision, the title track and “Hot Blooded.” “1978 was an absolutely magical time for the band,” recalls founding and current Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones, “and to come back over to the U.K. to play a headline show at the legendary Rainbow really was a dream come true.” “The audience was amazing that night,” he added. “We couldn’t have wished for a better show.” The set features a Foreigner lineup of Jones (lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Lou Gramm (lead vocals, percussion), Ian McDonald (guitars, keyboards, sax, flute, backing vocals), Al Greenwood (keyboards, synthesizer), Ed Gagliardi (bass, backing vocals) and Dennis Elliott (drums, backing vocals). Here’s the Live at The Rainbow ’78 track list: “Long, Long Way from Home” “I Need You” “Woman Oh Woman” “Hot Blooded” “The Damage Is Done” “Cold as Ice” “Starrider” “Double Vision” “Feels Like the First Time” “Fool for You Anyway” “At War with the World” “Headknocker” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com.
