Elton John has unveiled the cover art and title of his upcoming autobiography, Me. The music legend shared a video on YouTube that shows him unveiling the cover of the book, featuring a black-and-white ’70s-era photo of him, with only his glasses in color. “I hope it encourages you to go out and buy it when the book comes out in October. Until then, bye bye!” says Sir Elton. The book will be published simultaneously in the U.K. and the U.S. by Pan Macmillan and Henry Holt, respectively, on October 15. The autobiography was written by Elton with writer and music critic Alexis Petridis. Elton reveals the truth about his extraordinary life, which is also the subject of the upcoming film Rocketman. “This will be THE memoir of the decade,” according to Pan Mac publisher Jeremy Trevathan.
