Late rock star Tom Petty’s widow and daughters are engaged in a fierce legal battle over his estate. Dana Petty, the widow of Tom Petty, is locked in a legal battle with the singer’s daughters, Adria Petty and Annakim Violette, according to court documents obtained by Billboard. In a petition filed in Los Angeles County court, Dana Petty, trustee of the estate, alleges that the musicians’ two adult daughters from a previous marriage are making it impossible for her to manage the singer’s estate. Dana Petty asked the court to appoint a manager to oversee “significant decisions” involving the estate. She also asked the court to require consensus among the three women to keep the daughters from rolling over her decisions. Petty died on October 2, 2017, of an accidental drug overdose. An autopsy found a mixture of Fentanyl, oxycodone, Xanax and other medications in his system. Petty’s two daughters, Adria and Annakim, are from his marriage to Jane Petty, which ended in 1996.
