Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is recovering from successful heart valve replacement surgery. “Thank you everyone for all your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend – and also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff for doing a superb job,” the rock star tweeted on Friday. “Mick Jagger has successfully undergone treatment. He is doing very well and is expected to make a full recovery,” the band’s spokesperson Fran Curtis said in a statement. The 75-year-old rocker underwent a heart valve procedure called a transcatheter aortic valve replacement at a New York Hospital, Billboard reported. Jagger’s illness resulted in The Rolling Stones postponing the North American leg of their “No Filter” tour. Jagger is now expected to make a full recovery and return to touring this summer. The band was scheduled to launch its “No Filter” tour on April 20 and continue through July 29. The entire tour has now been postponed and the band is reportedly working with promoters to reschedule the shows. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
