Former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty has questioned the timing of his former bandmates’ announcement that they plan to stop touring as Creedence Clearwater Revisited. CCR drummer Doug Clifford and bassist Stu Cook revealed plans to stop touring just as Fogerty was launching his new Las Vegas residency. “Isn’t that funny?” Fogerty told Rolling Stone. “They could have said it two weeks ago or the day after next week. But it’s them dogging my career, so it’s not unusual.” The comments from Fogerty come even though Cook recently told Billboard the surviving CCR members have moved past their long-standing differences. “We’re not sniping at each other anymore,” Cook said. “We’re focused on the good things about Creedence, which is where I think we should be.” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com.
