Bruce Springsteen made a surprise guest appearance at Little Steven Van Zandt and The Disciples of Soul’s show at Beverly Hills’ Saban Theater on May 4. The band was performing at a record release show for their latest album Summer Of Sorcery when Springsteen joined them for “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” “Sun City” and “I Don’t Want to Go Home.” The performance comes just a little over a week after Springsteen announced his first new studio album in over five years. The album, titled Western Stars, was recorded primarily at Springsteen’s home studio in New Jersey, with additional recording in California and New York. Columbia Records will release the album, which will be available on June 14.
