“So, what’s gonna happen is this. I’m going to have surgery. I’m going to have a kidney transplant. In September of this year,” said Wonder matter-of-fact.
A long pause is followed by enormous cheers from the crowd. The beloved musician made the announcement last week at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival. Wonder assures the crowd he’s all good and has a donor for the kidney!
Wonder also made sure to set the record straight. “You don’t have to hear no rumors. I’m telling you what’s up!”
“I came here for your love and to thank you for your love,” said Wonder.
The music legend sure felt the love as the crowd continued to shower him in support of his decision. We’re all just lucky nothing will keep Stevie Wonder from doing what he does best–performing the music we love to hear.
