It’s a rare sight to get both Paul and Ringo in the same room, let alone on the same stage..

Not that there is any rift between the two surviving Beatles… Far from it!  But they’re both, as you can imagine, very busy.

But that did not get in the way of  McCartney reuniting with his former bandmate at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

over 50,000 fans were in attendance to see McCartney perform on the “Freshen Up” tour, when about halfway through the night Sir Paul announced “a surprise for us, a surprise for you, a surprise for everyone — ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Ringo Starr,”

The pair hugged, then asked the crowd “Are you ready to rock?” before hopping in to some Fab Four classics including “Helter Skelter” and “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”.

This is the first time the pair has been on stage together since the 2014 Grammy Awards celebrating the 50th anniversary of the The Beatles arriving in the United States.
