Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Trevor Williams and his wife Jackie wanted to grow their family.

They were thrilled when they learned they were going to be able to adopt a child.

Their excitement morphed to laughter when the next day Jackie discovered she was pregnant.

The couple made the announcement on Twitter.

“On Divine Mercy Sunday, Jojo’s birthmom told us that she wanted Jackie & I to be the adoptive parents of her daughter. The next day Jackie & I found out God has a great sense of humor by showering us with the grace of another child. Baby boy due in Jan 💙Holy Family, pray for us,” they posted on Twitter.
